Role overview
We are looking for a Freelance Senior Cobol Developer to join the team on a 4-month contract, starting in September, with a strong possibility of extension. You will be responsible for ongoing system maintenance, incident support, investigations, and contributing to development projects as required.
Key responsibilities
Maintain and support Cobol-based systems
Assist in handling incidents and conducting root cause investigations
Participate in ongoing and upcoming development projects
Collaborate with internal teams and business stakeholders
Ensure documentation and compliance with development standards
Required skills & experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Cobol development
Strong experience with CICS and DB2
Proven experience in incident management and system investigations
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
Work environment
Hybrid work setup: 1 day per week on-site in Ghent
Remaining days remote/flexible
