Planning Manager
To support very interesting and lonterm infrastructure projects for a client in the energy sector in Brussels, we are looking for an expert in Schedule Management. You will assist one (or more) Program Managers and/or Program Management Officers and be responsible for the schedule management of one or more infrastructure projects/programs.

Our OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department supports projects in different sectors on basis of project staffing with consultants working at the client’s site.- Defining schedule management:
- Establish a framework for managing schedules: definition of the schedule levels, schedule calendars, how to measure progress, definition of baselines and changes, etc.
- Elaborate the scheduling requirements to be imposed to the EPC contractors
- Establish the methodology for consolidating contractors’ and internal schedules (and progress updates) into the Integrated Master Schedule
- In collaboration with the PM Officer, define schedule reporting as part of the program reporting
- Document the schedule management approach in the Schedule Management Plan.
Contribute to the integration of the program schedule with other project management knowledge areas:
- Scope Management: participate in the challenge of the existing program Work Breakdown Structure, to ensure a good structure upon which the program schedule/budget can be constructed
- Procurement/Contract Management: synchronization between schedule and budget planning, as well as payment milestones
- Interface Management: track interface milestones in line with the interface management approach.
Establish and maintain the program schedule:
- Set up the structure in the scheduling tool (MSP or Primavera P6)
- Gather the EPC contractors’ and internal schedules and consolidate into the Integrated Master Schedule
- Oversee interfacing between stakeholders’ input schedules: Ensure that tasks are correctly linked between the stakeholders
- Organize the necessary meetings to gather the contents.
- Continuously challenge the scheduling inputs
- Apply techniques for estimating schedule durations and variances.
Perform schedule analysis & reporting:
Change impact analysis:
- As part of the change control process, perform schedule analysis for requested changes to the program.
- Properly document the change analysis, e.g. through creating simulation versions of the program schedule.
- Apply approved change requests to the program schedule and properly archive baselines.
Schedule Risk Assessment:
- Communicate and report on schedule risks to the Risk Manager
- Propose mitigation measures.
- Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of the MS Office suite, Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of infrastructure projects (Engineering, Construction).
- Knowledge of project management methodology PMI/PMBOK.
- Expert knowledge of schedule management techniques and methodologies.
- Knowledge of high voltage transmission infrastructure projects and offshore projects is an added value.
- Proactive, strong communicator and team player.
- Strong interviewing skills, allowing gathering necessary scheduling inputs with a critical view
- 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role
- Profound verbal and written knowledge of English. Dutch and/or French are an added value.
Additional information:
- Location: Brussels
- On average 2-3 days on site. Possible need for short business trips to construction sites, contractors etc.
- 40h/week
