Randstad Digital - Security Engineer (Medior)
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Medior Security Engineer to join our team, working specifically to enhance and maintain the information security posture for one of our key clients. This is a significant opportunity for a security professional to take on more responsibility, contribute to strategic security initiatives, and grow their expertise within a critical client environment.
In this challenging role, you will play a vital role in the design, implementation, and ongoing management of information security measures. You will work with a degree of autonomy, contributing to security architecture, performing in-depth analysis, and actively participating in compliance and incident response efforts.
Your Responsibilities.
Actively participate in and contribute to day-to-day security operations, including advanced security monitoring, log analysis, and proactive threat hunting.
Conduct in-depth vulnerability assessments, manage remediation efforts, and contribute to the development of strategies to address security weaknesses.
Ensure ongoing adherence to information security standards, particularly ISO 27001 and NIS2 directives, and support audit processes.
Participate in the full lifecycle of security incident response, from detection and analysis to containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review.
Contribute to the development and delivery of security awareness programs and training for employees.
Assist in the design and review of secure architectures for new and existing systems, applications, and infrastructure.
Configure, optimize, and manage various security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IAM solutions).
Collaborate with IT, development, and operational teams, acting as a security subject matter expert and potentially mentoring junior team members.
Your Profile.
Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an information security role, with +/- 3 years of experience in NIS 2 & ISO27001.Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, network security protocols, cloud security principles, and common attack vectors.
Certifications (Strongly Preferred): Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, or equivalent. ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor certification is a significant advantage.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in Dutch, English, and French (written and spoken).Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
