Steel Metals Production sector (Green production processes)

• Long-term project 2+ years
• Steel/Metal Mill Production/Processes sector.
• Knowledge of Dutch language required
• PM certification preferred (PRINCE2 II ii PMI, or equivalent)

Tasks

As a project manager, your role involves overseeing the decarbonization and greening of steel production, with an emphasis on transitioning from traditional blast furnaces to electric arc furnaces. You will be part of a team overseeing these major changes within the organization.

Responsible for project management of all project delivery tasks in a specific subarea of the project. Tasks will cover areas such as:

• New Electrical Supply HV-MV-LV
• Cooling circuits
• Slag Storage and Handling
• Site preparations
• Relevant technical experience in these domains is required

Requirements

• Master/Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent professional technical education
• Between 5 to 15+ years' experience as a Project Manager in a similar role (Mid-career to senior level)
• Experience in working with EPCM or EPC companies
• Project Management with professional certification such as PMI , Prince2 II ii 2 , MSP , CAPM , Sigma
• Effective communicator, with the ability to proactively deal with senior executives and senior stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Proven people management skills.
• Knowledge of the Dutch language is required.
• Regular European travel 25%-50% depending on the project phase (from Northern Belgium office base)
• Project language is English
• Mining, Metals, and Mills processing/production sector knowledge
