About the Role
We are looking for a skilled GIS Consultant / Developer to support the integration and development of GIS functionalities across a wide range of applications. You will play a key role in enabling geospatial data visualization, designing geodatabases, and delivering high-quality geo-services that meet both internal and external user needs.
You will work within a digital innovation environment focused on building smarter, data-driven solutions, contributing to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Integrate GIS functionalities into enterprise applications
- Design, develop, and manage geodatabases and GIS data layers
- Deliver geospatial data visualization through interactive digital maps
- Provide and maintain geo (web) services
- Perform business analysis for GIS implementation and integration
- Conduct spatial analysis and geoprocessing activities
- Define data structures and ensure data quality and usability
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical GIS solutions
- Minimum 3 years of experience in GIS systems development
- Strong experience with ESRI technologies (ArcGIS Desktop, Server, Online)
- Solid experience with geodatabases in SQL Server
- Proven experience in setting up GIS data and geo-services
- Hands-on experience with geocoding, raster/vector data, and data manipulation
- Strong programming capabilities (coding, testing, debugging)
- Experience with spatial analysis and geoprocessing tools
- Fluent Dutch (CEFR level C2)
- Experience with GIS solution architecture (functional to technical translation)
- Knowledge of tools such as GeoServer, QGIS, PostGIS
- Experience with ETL tools (FME, Python/ArcPy)
- Familiarity with VertiGIS
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of cloud architectures and serverless environments
- Experience with APIs and data services
- ITIL knowledge or certification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and digital transformation
- Hybrid work model with at least 1 day per week on-site
- Maximum of 220 working days per year (pro-rata)
- Assignment based on Time & Materials
- Competitive daily rate (EUR)
