Maintenance technician

A food company in Ostend is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of its machinery while enjoying the delightful aroma of cookies. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in a dynamic production environment. The position operates on a two-shift system, Monday through Friday:

• Early Shift: 4:30 AM - 1:00 PM (Friday until 11:00 AM).
• Late Shift: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM (Friday until 6:00 PM).

• Promptly and effectively resolve technical issues.
• Perform both planned and urgent equipment repairs.
• Replace or repair mechanical components, such as gears and bearings, with precision adjustments.
• Diagnose and fix electrical faults by locating defects and replacing necessary parts.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting mechanical equipment.
• Identify and implement technical improvements, from concept to execution.
• Assist with large-scale technical projects and ensure accurate maintenance of technical documentation.
• qualifications
• Strong expertise in electricity and mechanics, with basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Proficiency in Dutch and the ability to read technical plans and manuals in English.
• Independent, stress-resistant, and eager to learn.
• Motivated with a willingness to undergo training in areas requiring further development.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of order, cleanliness, safety, and hygiene.
• Possession of a forklift or aerial work platform certificate is a plus.
