The project

Our client in the Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage sector, is seeking an experienced Defender for Cloud Engineer to strengthen their team.

Key responsibilities

Defender for Cloud engineering:

Design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Defender for Cloud for Servers (P1/P2)

Configure enrollment and policy assignment for hybrid-joined and non-hybrid joined servers, including Windows Core Edition and Workgroup servers

Deploy Defender for Cloud for Servers at scale, ensuring consistent security posture across On-Prem and hybrid workloads

Integrate Azure Arc for enrollment, governance, and hybrid server management

Automation & operations:

Automate deployment, configuration, and policy enforcement using PowerShell and scripting frameworks

Support server lifecycle management across Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments

Collaborate with SOC to monitor Defender for Cloud telemetry and enable rapid detection and response

Governance, compliance & risk:

Ensure Defender for Cloud services comply with ISO 27001, NIS2, and DORA requirements

Provide input for audits, threat modeling, and incident post-mortems

Continuously improve the cloud security posture through telemetry analysis and best practices

Cross-platform & advisory:

Support additional platforms including RedHat Linux distributions when integrated into Defender for Cloud

Provide expertise on EndPoint protection interoperability with solutions like McAfee/Trellix and SCCM

Advise IT and business teams on secure deployment and configuration practices

Is this you?

5+ years in IT/security with proven expertise in cloud/server security

Deep hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Cloud for Servers P1/P2

Strong experience with server enrollment and policy assignment (hybrid and non-hybrid)

Experience in deploying Defender for Cloud for Servers at scale

Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell scripting and Windows Server management (2016/2019/2022)

Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure Arc enrollment and governance

Exposure to Linux security hardening (RedHat distributions)

Familiarity with McAfee/Trellix EndPoint Security

Experience with SCCM deployments
