Global Physical Asset Manager
We now wish to recruit an experienced GLOBAL PHYSICAL ASSET MANAGER (freelance or employee on medior level) to support project activities at one of our client sites in the Brussels area.

Our OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department supports projects in different sectors on basis of project staffing with consultants working at the client’s site.- Responsibilities:
- Asset Strategy Development:
- Assess asset condition, performance, obsolescence, and business risks (e.g., safety, compliance, continuity).
- Propose mitigation or performance improvement plans in collaboration with stakeholders (Operations, Maintenance, Investment Partners, etc.).
- Define investment needs (asset replacement, maintenance strategy) with a holistic TOTEX view (CAPEX + OPEX).
- Program Oversight & Governance:
- Translate technical issues into structured investment proposals (scope, budget, timing, resources).
- Present and defend these plans to site leadership and stakeholders, following internal governance procedures.
- Act as a strategic advisor — not executing projects directly, but steering decisions within a matrix organization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with asset owners and support departments (Maintenance, HSE, Engineering, Finance) throughout the asset lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of asset management standards and processes across sites.
- Support the development and use of an internal IT tool for asset data collection and analysis.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Lead equipment assessment programs to ensure compliance with updated safety standards.
- Prepare renewal and remediation capital and expense budget evaluations.
- Develop and deliver asset performance reports and dashboards.
- Ensure alignment of asset strategy with business continuity and sustainability goals.
- Ideally you will have the following experience and skills:
- Minimum 10 years of experience preferred.
- Confident discussing technical, financial, and strategic topics.
- Experience in regulated industries (pharma preferred, nuclear acceptable).
- Fluent in English and French (both mandatory).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication skills — able to engage both technical teams and executive leadership.
- Ability to synthesize complex technical data into actionable business cases.
- Experience in asset management, maintenance strategy, or risk evaluation.
- Solid technical background (e.g., civil engineer or bioengineer).
- Business acumen — ideally complemented by an Executive Master or MBA.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in program/project management.
- Familiarity with IT/data tools for asset tracking.
- Experience in safety and sustainability aspects of equipment.
- Versatile profile — able to bridge technical, strategic, and financial domains.
