SAP Risk & Controls - Senior Consultant

You will collaborate with experienced colleagues in Business Risk Services, Internal Audit and Technology Risk, and grow within a supportive, entrepreneurial, and people‑focused culture.

What will you be doing?:

• Advise clients on SAP-enabled business processes and risks, with a strong focus on P2P, O2C, R2R and HCM.
• Analyse and assess SAP process controls and SAP GRC Process Controls, including configuration, execution and monitoring of key controls.
• Support internal audit and SOX engagements by translating SAP process risks into audit procedures, control testing approaches, and improvement recommendations.
• Perform data-driven risk analyses using SAP data (ECC & S/4HANA), leveraging your understanding of SAP tables and process flows.
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of BDO automated tools, supporting SAP data models, control logic, and analytics use cases
• Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities within SAP-enabled processes and support remediation initiatives.
• Conduct interviews, walkthroughs and documentation reviews to assess process design, control effectiveness and system reliance.
• Collaborate with audit, risk and technology teams to deliver integrated SAP business risk solutions to clients.
• Support client workshops, proposals and thought leadership related to SAP business processes, controls and analytics.
• Take ownership of continuous improvement, automation opportunities, and knowledge sharing within the SAP Business Risk capability.
• Mentor junior team members and play an active role in building and scaling the SAP Business Risk offering at BDO.

What do you bring to the table?:

• Strong knowledge of SAP processes (P2P, O2C, R2R, HCM).
• Experience with SAP GRC Process Controls.
• Hands‑on SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA experience, including tables and data structures.
• Background in internal audit, SOX or SAP risk engagements.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to turn SAP data into insights.
• Interest in data analytics, automation or solution development.
• Knowledge of COSO/COBIT and audit methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project workstreams.
• Master’s degree (business, finance, IT) or equivalent experience.
• 3–6+ years of relevant experience (senior profiles welcome).
• Willingness to pursue certifications (CISA, SAP, data analytics).
• Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a strong asset.
