Financial Controller (m/f/d)
Position Summary
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the financial activities of the company in Belgium, including accounting, tax compliance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A). This hands-on role requires a balance of technical expertise and operational execution to support business objectives.
Your Tasks:
- Accounting & Tax Compliance
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to local standards.
- Manage relationships with external consultants for tax filings, audits, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and tax documentation.
- Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax advisors, and external accountants.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
- Deliver clear, data-driven financial insights and reporting for stakeholders.
- Track and analyze key operational and financial KPIs.
- Support strategic initiatives.
- Treasury Management
- Assist in managing cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and potential funding needs.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- Several years of relevant experience in controlling or finance management.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
- Strong track record in managing both accounting and FP&A functions.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Excel and first experience with ERP.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
