IT Security Architect

We are currently looking for a freelance Security Architect to join our client's internal security team.

Location: Flexible Remote Work / Candidates from Belgium or Remote from other EU

Context:

You'll be embedded in the client's application security team, a small, focused group responsible for:

Security testing

Architecture reviews

Threat modeling

Cloud security posture management

Your role:

As a Security Architect within the client's organization, you will:

Conduct security architecture reviews to ensure solutions align with established security requirements.

Collaborate with internal teams across the organization to provide security guidance.

Configure and manage SaaS security solutions and triage security alerts.

Help design and execute the cloud security roadmap, with a particular focus on Azure.

Participate in team meetings and support risk-based security decisions.

Key requirements:

Must-Haves:

8+ years in security architecture and cloud security (strong mediors may be considered).

Hands-on experience with Azure cloud security solutions.

Solid understanding of ISO/IEC 27001 compliance frameworks.

Proven ability to work independently in large, complex enterprise environments.

Fluent in English (French/Dutch is a plus).

Nice-to-Haves:

Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, etc.).

Familiarity with Sonatype, JFrog, FedRAMP, or PIPA compliance.

Experience integrating or configuring security tools in CI/CD environments.
