Your team and your responsibilities:
Team/division description
As part of the TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is dedicated to the local development of powertrains for vehicles produced in TME's manufacturing plants, as well as the planning and research of new European technologies. Our latest focus areas include electrification, big data, artificial intelligence and connectivity.
Our team, Powertrain Model-Based Design, develops innovative tools and methodologies to support local and global vehicle development.
Your project
The ever-increasing complexity of the systems we develop, and the ever-shorter development cycles, push the traditional development methods to their limits. On the other hand, Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers promising perspectives to take over explanation and documentation tasks, allowing humans to focus on tasks where they truly bring value.
You will propose the best approach and develop a proof-of-concept AI tool that will:
- Generate high-level requirements from detailed parts and software specifications
- Check the consistency of high-level requirements
- Explain the system specifications in a chat-based interaction
- Automatically generate test cases from requirements
- Automatically populate and manage the requirements management tool
Your Profile:
- You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
- Master of Science or equivalent student (ideally machine learning / data science)
- Knowledge & interest in computer science, machine learning, Large Language Models (LLM), text transformers
- You understand the strengths, limitations and working principle of LLMs Excellent knowledge of Python, Git
- Knowledge of PTC CodeBeamer is a plus
- Basic knowledge of vehicle & electric powertrain system
- Able to summarize & explain complex technical information in a clear and visual way
- Team player, great ability to collaborate
- Basic skills with Office suite are a must

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.
It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
