Now we are looking for a Construction Manager in our office in Mechelen, mainly supporting projects across Flanders.
As Construction Manager, you will oversee the successful execution of investment projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. We are looking for a customer-oriented professional who can anticipate project needs, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and proactively solve challenges on site.
Tasks- Supervise and manage construction projects during the execution phase.
- Manage the construction budget and related change orders
- Review contractors’ schedules and manage the overall integrated site planning.
- Supervise on-site and off-site activities, ensuring compliance with construction and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress on a daily basis and ensure milestones are achieved.
- Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with HSE standards on site.
- Prepare internal and external progress reports.
- Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and the application of appropriate construction techniques.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering/Architecture.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Construction Management, preferably within the Food Industry and/or Life Sciences sectors.
- Proven experience managing projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) and MS Project.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; French is considered an asset.
- Willingness to travel within Belgium; occasional international travel may be required.
- Valid driving licence.
