About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Expert Daily Planning to support one of Belgium's leading public transport organizations. You'll play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of mission-critical workforce planning applications that support thousands of drivers and daily transport operations across Flanders.
Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors, you'll be responsible for managing and optimizing the Hastus Daily application environment, ensuring efficient personnel planning, operational continuity, and high-quality public transport services.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the application owner for Hastus Daily, with a focus on DailyCrew and PlanCrew
- Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical planning applications
- Monitor production environments and manage incidents, problems, and long-term improvements
- Analyze business requirements related to workforce planning, shift scheduling, absences, qualifications, and vacation planning
- Translate operational needs into application configurations and change requests
- Coordinate software releases, patches, hotfixes, and vendor updates
- Lead and support functional testing, including TST and UAT
- Assess risks and business impact of planned changes
- Collaborate with planners, HR teams, IT departments, and external software suppliers
- Support integrations with HR and related enterprise systems
- Identify opportunities for optimization and future enhancements
Required Skills & Experience
Essential- Minimum 8 years of experience within the public transport sector
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Hastus Daily (GIRO) or an equivalent workforce planning solution
- Minimum 8 years working with planning software used in public transport environments (such as Hastus, IVU, Peak Mobility, Trapeze, or similar)
- Minimum 5 years working with the relevant technologies or closely related platforms
- At least 3 years of experience in workforce planning
- Native or near-native Dutch (CEFR C2)
- Experience with personnel planning in shift-based environments
- Experience with decision-support planning software
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, ICT, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
